Protocols for patients with CP often were personalized with progressively increased dosages, instead of universal settings

VT has a positive and age-independent influence on neuromuscular, functional, and structural factors in patients with CP

VT has become a valuable neuro-rehabilitative alternative to other interventions, since there are no specific motor or cognitive prerequisite requirements

Findings showed that sessions of VT reduced reflex excitability, hypertonicity, spasticity, and coordination deficits and subsequently had a positive influence on Gross Motor Function Measure strength, gait and mobility in adults and children with CP

Children have an advantage of neuroplasticity, VT may initiate long-term positive developmental effects that may persist into adulthood
